LAWSONIA INTRACELLULARIS BACTERIN
For use in healthy swine, as an aid in the control of ileitis caused by Lawsonia intracellularis, an aid in the reduction of colonization by Lawsonia, and an aid in the reduction of duration of fecal shedding. Duration of immunity for at least 20 weeks has been demonstrated.
DOSE: Shake well. Warm the vaccine to room temperature immediately prior to administration. Using aseptic technique, inject 2 mL once intramuscularly (IM) into pigs at 3 weeks of age or older.
CAUTIONS: Store in the dark at 2° to 7°C (35° to 45°F). Do not freeze. Use entire contents when first opened; do not save partial contents. Burn the container and all unused product. Use only in healthy swine. Do not vaccinate within 21 days before slaughter. A significant number of pigs may experience transient swelling at the site of injection. The swelling should resolve without treatment in less than 20 days. Immediate systemic reactions have been observed in animals administered this product. Minimize pig handling and ensure proper ventilation prior to starting vaccination. If an allergic reaction occurs, treat with epinephrine. Caution should be used to avoid injecting your own fingers, hands, or other body parts. Accidental injection can cause serious local reactions. Contact a physician immediately.
